Pacific Islands Energy Policy and Plan

July 2013 - NLR - GETF

Developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (aka NLR) under the guidance of the Guam Energy Task Force, this action plan outlines Guam’s near-term priorities for reducing fossil fuel dependence and advancing a more sustainable energy future. It identifies four priority strategies: expanding public outreach on energy efficiency and conservation, establishing a demand-side management loan program, exploring waste-to-energy opportunities, and promoting transportation initiatives such as anti-idling policies and electric vehicles (EVs).
